Copying and pasting is difficult on the iPhone and iPod Touch. iphonecopypaste.com is a simple utility to help you copy text and/or web addresses from any public web page. You can "paste" the information by emailing it to yourself or others. This service does not require any installation - just a bookmark.

Getting started

1. On your desktop/laptop computer, add these two bookmarks.

iphonecopypaste - basic (RIGHT click and add to bookmarks/favorites) This bookmark takes the web address and text of a website, lets you delete the parts you don't want, and then you can email it to yourself for your records or to forward to someone else.

iphonecopypaste - email forward (via Linkspank) (RIGHT click and add to bookmarks/favorites) This bookmark lets you forward web pages to friends (and save them) via our partner site, Linkspank. Note: to use Linkspank you have to confirm your email on your desktop or iPhone.

2. On your desktop, use the iTunes sync process to put these bookmarks on your iPhone / iPod Touch

3. On your iPhone / iPod Touch, when you are on a page you want to save, share, or copy from, just click one of the two bookmarks. A new window will open to commence the copying.


Tips
+ Use iphonecopypaste basic to read articles offline: just send pages to your email and sync your email before you go offline.
+ The iphonecopypaste basic link may contain some extraneous material - you can either delete it before you send it or just scroll down and ignore it.
